The Joy of Paper Umbrellas

I spent some time sitting on the ground watching this old man make umbrellas from varnished paper, some wooden sticks and some paint. His fingers flew and he rarely looked down at his work. Most often he'd complete a task, then look at me grinning with pride. I suppose he's been creating umbrellas for half a century. By now it's automatic, surely, but he still takes pleasure in it, living small.
