Impermanence: Fiery Crash and Living Small

Today my other blog,  Practical Buddhism, tells about a trip stopped yesterday by a fiery crash. We were on our way to the North Shore to see the Fall leaves and came on the accident. It interrupted our day off, but also our sense of control.

Surrounded by emergency vehicles and the knowledge of sudden death, we were hit hard by the truth of impermanence. We had thought the simple trip to look at trees was "living small." The universe had other plans and a different message for us.

Please see my other blog, Living Small, for another version of this story.
