No Locks: Living Small

These boats represent the livelihood of two families. As the sun set I noticed they were simply tied up, not locked or secured in any way. The water was still and nobody was near. I imagined climbing in and paddling off toward the western sky on a kind of Buddhist nighttime joyride. I'd replace the boat before dawn and walk back to the village. It was a fantasy born of a week of living small.  I still might go back and do it.
